RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 2026

The Lady Garden Foundation is delighted to announce it will unveil a Show Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 (19th–23rd May 2026).

The Lady Garden Foundation ‘Silent No More’ Garden will be located on the prestigious Main Avenue at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

WE ARE GOING TO the RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 2026!

Designed by RHS Gold Medal–winning garden designer Darren Hawkes, the Lady Garden Foundation’s ‘Silent No More’ Show Garden will be raising awareness of, and kick starting conversation around, gynaecological cancers. The charity aims to use this powerful platform to propel these often overlooked cancers into the national spotlight in 2026. With its striking, immersive design - featuring forms and planting that subtly echo the female body - the garden invites curiosity and encourages open conversation about the five gynaecological cancers: ovarian, cervical, vulval, womb, and vaginal. These are cancers that, tragically, claim the lives of 21 women every day in the UK. Enabling these cancers to be talked about openly will lead to early diagnoses that will ultimately save lives. #silentnomore

Our garden designer: Darren Hawkes

Darren Hawkes is a multiple award-winning garden designer known for creating sculptural, emotionally resonant gardens that invite reflection and connection. A father, son and husband, Darren’s passion for the Lady Garden Foundation’s mission is driven by the knowledge that gynaecological cancers could be life-changing for the women he is closest too – as they could any woman. Over the past two years, Darren has immersed himself in the Foundation’s bold and unflinching campaign work, exploring the taboos and silences that often surround gynaecological cancers. He has also spent time with medical professionals, patients, and their families at the Royal Marsden Hospital, gaining a deep understanding of their experiences, and the inhibitions the garden seeks to overcome.

Our Garden DESIGN - an overview

Our garden is designed to stop visitors in their tracks, ignite curiosity and enable uninhibited conversation about gynaecological health.

Darren Hawkes drew inspiration from the work of Eduardo Chillida that echoes the female anatomy. Chillida’s etching Inguru III informs the layout, and his clay sculpture La Casa del Poeta III, with its enclosing and interconnecting forms, are reimagined in striking architectural structures that reference the womb.

A meandering path guides visitors through richly planted borders, where shifting tones of colour envelop five sculptures - each representing one of the five gynaecological cancers.  Water flows away from a pool in the centre of the garden through a pair of deep rills.

From here, the journey moves into more intimate spaces with secluded seating and onto a communal area for larger groups. These contrasting settings are designed to encourage conversation for all - shattering the silence that surrounds these cancers and saving lives.
